Certifications

Ed-Fi Managed ODS / API Platform Badge

Data integration and use at scale is a challenging problem regardless of platform, and these challenges have particularly been difficult for agencies with lower access to expertise in software development, enterprise data management, or data systems integration. Similarly, many larger agencies are also attempting to outsource aspects of these operations to focus more on analytics and business intelligence. This badge highlights product efforts to address these problems. For more information, visit ed-fi.org.

Ed-Fi API Consumer Badge

To be awarded this badge, a product must be able to read data out of an Ed-Fi-defined API and integrate that data into its product offering. The integration of the data must be such that it clearly provides significant additional value to the product end users, and the implementation verification submitted by the badge applicant must validate this utility. For more information, visit ed-fi.org.

Student Privacy Badge

The Student Privacy Compass’ Student Privacy Pledge is an industry pledge to safeguard student privacy regarding collecting, maintaining, and using student personal information. The commitments are intended to concisely detail existing federal law and regulatory guidance regarding collecting and handling student data and to encourage service providers to more clearly articulate these practices.
